Kind Words about Jade Amulet

Tony’s Thoughts have reviewed the book and I am delighted with his commentary. Looking forward to getting more writing done over Christmas.

Here is the Review

For anyone else who likes Tango (also my favourite character) i’ve been working on a novella just for Tango, Pip and Cash, and I may do a collection of their earlier cases, with Cash really indulging in his fantasy that it’s still the 40’s and terms like ‘gams’ and ‘mook’ are still acceptable for PI’s.

Cash likes to believe he’s channelling Sam Spade

And I have a mix of guest posts and flash fiction on the Anachron Site you can check out.

And next…

So Jade is out, and it’ll be a while before I know how it’s doing. I’m hoping for some reviews or something soon so I can see how it’s being received. Unless you all hate it, in which case I don’t want to know.  In the mean time of course I’ve written and submitted what I hope will be my next book for Anachron’s pulp line.  ‘The Nine Lives of Hope Felidae’.

Thinking about Hope had me looking at Parkour images on google and these people are seriously amazing. If you get some time google them, or watch some free running on youtube. Or try it for yourself, I might pass on that and stick with youtube.

Red Letter Day

We harnessed the lightning, burned down the castle and may have killed an Igor or two but it’s alive.

Pulp Line No.1 presents a collection of four pulp tales by Jack Calico.

Curse of the Jade Amulet:

PIs Cash and Tango, aren’t your average private investigators. They deal in the strange, the weird, and the dangerous. Their latest commission is brought to them by a smoking hot dame looking for ancient Chinese artefact.

The Last Broadcast:

A lone ex-private investigator misses the apocalypse while scuba diving, and upon their return, takes to their boat in order to find out what ended the world.

Sinope:

Summer Cream isn’t your average stripper. This girl’s got grit and a plan. Listen to her story of blood, pole-dancing, gangsters, and a new boss in town.

Full Moon Fever:

Cash and Tango return for another case. This time it’s closer to her home: Tango’s sister has been kidnapped, and she isn’t what her kidnappers think. Cash and Tango travel across country and discover their case is deadlier than they realised.
